Being apart of a world where we are all equals, when we are so far from it is something to work towards. Chinaka Hodge says in her poem (referring to women) "we are trained to dodge, to wait, to cower." but what of a world without that? Where women can walk down the street, by themselves, with no concern. Where women get paid the same amount for the SAME job a man has. No concerns, no waiting, no hesitating. The American dream can no longer be limited. The likely hood of a man achieving his dream is greater than a woman's ability to achieve. The only way that can change is if closed minded people are no longer closed minded. Because woman are people. We are more than "brides, trinkets, off brand gender or concessions, but woman." Our dreams are just as real.
